Mission Statement
The Mission of the
City of Rockingham Information and Library Service is to bring library services
and the world of information to the Rockingham community.
Membership
Library membership is governed by
the Library Board of Western Australia Act 1951.
To become a member of the Rockingham Information and Library Service you must provide identification that includes your name and your current address.
Below are the conditions for registering children as Library Service members
a. Children aged 13 or younger must be joined by a parent/guardian.
b. Children aged 14, 15 or 16 may join the Library Service without a parent/guardian being present but the child must have personal identification or family identification and a proforma letter must be completed and signed by a parent before borrowing occurs.
c. If you are 17 years or older you may join as an adult member provided identification is provided.
Library card
If your library card is lost or
stolen, please report it to us as soon as possible. You are responsible for all
items borrowed via your library card. Replacement charges will also be incurred
for lost cards. In the event of your card being stolen, the replacement
cost will be waived when a police report number is quoted.
Damaged or lost items
Please treat all
library items with care, you will be charged for any damaged or lost items.
Overdue Items
Long overdue billed items may become subject to debt recovery action.
